Welcome to The Stanchester Quire website.
A Community Folk Choir based in South Somerset England
Stanchester Quire* is a community choir composed of about 50-60 people of all ages and backgrounds, created and nurtured by Folk South West under the musical direction of the well known folk artist, Eddie Upton.
We sing English folk songs and carols, drawn mainly from the West Country stretching from Cornwall in the West, to Dorset and Wiltshire in the East, and Gloucestershire to the North.
Anyone is welcome to join the choir.
All you need is a love of singing, a willingness to learn new songs,
and to perform in public.
We sing in 4 part harmony, so you can choose the part best suited to you.
We meet at All Saints School in Montacute, Somerset normally on Tuesdays at 7.45pm till 9.30pm.
Contact us: stanchesterquire1@gmail.com (or phone 07590 213237)
